A 23-year-old man was stabbed in an attempted robbery in the city of Perico, Jujuy province. He is currently admitted to the "Arturo Zabala" hospital observation room.
According to local reports, the incident took place in the early morning when the victim was walking through the El Cadillal neighborhood towards a nearby store. He was approached by two individuals who tried to steal his belongings. In response to the young man's resistance, one of the attackers pulled out a knife and inflicted two stab wounds, one to the chest and another to the left rib, before fleeing the scene.
After the attack, the young man managed to return to his home where a relative took him to the local hospital. There, doctors confirmed that he was stable, although with penetrating wounds to the chest and left rib, remaining in the observation room for monitoring.
The authorities of the "Arturo Zabala" hospital informed the zonal prosecutor of the Public Prosecutor's Office, who ordered local police to conduct a search in the area where the incident occurred, without success so far.
All subsequent actions were assigned to the 58th Section of the Regional Unit 6 of Perico, under the supervision of the prosecutor of the Public Prosecutor's Office, to clarify the case and identify those responsible for the robbery.
