Tensions Rise Over RE/MAX Exclusion from Expo Rural | Ours Abroad News

The exclusion of the real estate company RE/MAX from the Rural, Commercial, and Industrial Expo of Pehuajó just hours before its start highlighted the tensions between the Real Estate Agents Association of Trenque Lauquen and local entrepreneurs. According to local sources, the municipality led by Pablo Zurro yielded to the pressures of the Association, led by Carlos Prono, prohibiting the firm's participation in the event organized by the Rural Society and the Chamber of Commerce.

This event generated indignation in the real estate sector, which described the decision as a clear example of 'authoritarianism and anachronistic practices' aimed at monopolizing the market. Criticisms were also directed at Zurro, who is accused of personalism and governing in a 'retrograde' manner.

The prohibition on RE/MAX is part of a series of measures imposed by the Real Estate Agents Association to restrict the operation of real estate franchises. This practice, deemed unconstitutional by experts like lawyer Pablo Majul, questions the municipal authority to regulate the real estate sector, creating controversies in an economic recession context that demands the creation of new job opportunities.
