GeoPark announced the start of drilling operations on the Loma Jarillosa Este block, located in the Vaca Muerta formation in the province of Neuquén. This is a decisive step in the company's accelerated growth plan in Argentina and consolidates its position as one of the new reference operators in the Neuquén Basin. To carry out this campaign, GeoPark has linked more than 30 contractors from different service specialties through the signing of 40 commercial agreements, generating a significant impact on the local and regional value chain. The Company is allocating between USD 80 and 100 million during 2026 for the development of the block, with the aim of scaling its production in Argentina from around 1,500 barrels of oil per day to around 5,000 or 6,000 barrels per day by the end of this year, multiplying its current production in the country by 3 to 4 times. The medium-term plan is even more ambitious as GeoPark aims to multiply the production of the blocks by ten in the next three years, reaching nearly 20,000 barrels per day by the end of 2028. “Vaca Muerta is one of the most dynamic unconventional reservoirs in the world and we are building a position here that will be central to GeoPark's regional portfolio.
