Buenos Aires, March 3 (NA) -- Maximiliano Avilez, the ex-boyfriend of Luciana Muñoz, who has been missing since July 13, 2024, in the city of Neuquén, has been detained for vandalism in a store following a shooting in the Parque Industrial neighborhood. According to the Argentine News Agency (NA) and as local media indicated, the suspect was apprehended during the riots in a store he rented from a neighbor and that functioned as a grocery store: the woman and Avilez have had a dispute since early February of this year. The tenant demanded recognition of the expenses she incurred during the remodeling of the business she now had to abandon, as explained by LM Neuquén, based on the testimonies of neighbors in the area, who also pointed to a possible drug trafficking conflict and economic disagreements. This series of conflicts began in a barbershop, where a shooting broke out at the moment the owner of the salon, who is a resident of Avilez, was seen, and nine shots were fired. As revenge, the accused broke the lock on the food store, caused damage, breakages, and threw a large part of the merchandise into the street. However, the woman had to vacate the place on Monday, March 2; she was notified and did not enter again. Avilez is the ex-partner of Muñoz; he is charged with false testimony, although he was not detained for that, and he would be the last person to see her alive. His home was raided on January 28 in the framework of a case for injuries.
