Shooting Incident in Neuquén Leaves One Injured

A shooting between the Bin Laden and Bustamante gangs in the province of Neuquén left a 17-year-old minor injured and more than 50 spent casings scattered around the Belgrano neighborhood of the city. The dispute took place at the La Familia land occupation, where neighbors alerted the authorities, but the attackers fled before the police arrived.

Minutes before the security forces arrived, a wounded teenager was taken to the regional hospital. It is suspected that at least three weapons were used in the confrontation. According to Commissioner Darío Ahuir, it was not a direct fight, but an armed confrontation. Previous conflicts between the gangs related to land occupation and drug trafficking are known.

The case is in the hands of the Prosecutor's Office for Crimes against Persons, which has already interrogated witnesses and reviewed security cameras. Hours later, the injured minor was discharged. In the early morning, forensic examinations were carried out at the scene, seizing more than 50 spent casings. This situation raises concerns in the community and highlights the need to effectively address the issue of gang violence in the area.
