In the heart of the Buenos Aires town of Morón, a 37-year-old delivery woman and a 21-year-old neighbor were shot by two motorcycle robbers while riding on a motorcycle. The Buenos Aires Police are analyzing security cameras in the area to identify the attackers.
The violent episode adds to another prior robbery in the same area, where a 24-year-old man was injured in the head during a theft. In this case, the delivery woman was shot in the abdomen, but fortunately suffered no serious injuries.
After the attack, the victims managed to reach the Morón Hospital on their own, where they received medical attention and it was determined that their health was not in danger. Prosecutor Fernando Siquier Rodríguez, in charge of the investigation, has ordered measures to capture those responsible for the incident.
One of the neighbors in the area, Jeremías Iván F., left his house after hearing the woman's screams in an attempt to help. His intervention triggered a violent reaction from the criminals, who opened fire without warning.
The incident took place at the intersection of San Francisco and Ozanam streets, in the southern area of Morón. According to witnesses, the delivery woman Yanina Noemí P. was making a delivery on her motorcycle when she was approached by the thieves with the intention of stealing her vehicle. Despite being injured, doctors confirmed that there was no damage to vital organs.
