The father of the victim recounted the anguished search for his 15-year-old daughter, Natalia, after returning from work and realizing she was not at home. Desperate, he went out to look for her at friends' houses and hospitals when his wife told him she might return later. In the absence of news, Gustavo and Laura Calampuca went to the police to report her disappearance, being instructed not to speak to the press for 48 hours.

The lifeless body of Natalia was discovered in the "Florentino Ameghino" nursery, under a pile of leaves. The autopsy revealed that she was asphyxiated with the lace of her sneaker, in addition to presenting bruises, burns, fractures, and a blow to the skull. Genetic traces from five different individuals confirmed that she had been raped by several men.

Her father described Natalia as a loving, committed, student body president and delegate, whose dreams were cut short by that heinous crime. In the trial, three policemen were sentenced to life imprisonment for kidnapping, aggravated sexual assault, and homicide, while another received a reduced sentence.

In 2023, the fourth policeman was found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment for illegal deprivation of liberty, sexual assault, and homicide, with a previous dismissal being overturned. One of the convicted is currently enjoying temporary releases, which has raised concerns for Natalia's family, as they believe it poses a danger to society.

Gustavo lamented that the guilty parties never asked for forgiveness and recalled the threats and aggressions that he and his family have faced from the criminals and their associates. He highlighted Natalia's dreams of becoming an obstetrician and her desire to help parentless children. He stated that the culprits always claimed they were innocent and never took responsibility for their actions.
