The Justice acquitted Elián Valenzuela, known as L-Gante, of the charges of unlawful deprivation of liberty but sentenced him to three years of suspended prison for coercive threats with the use of a firearm. Although the complaint claimed that L-Gante acted armed and held two people against their will, witnesses, including the singer's mother, denied that version.
The artist was released, but with certain restrictions that could lead to other judicial measures if violated. L-Gante acknowledged the case prosecutor as an honorable person and compared the representatives of the complaint to "a lying child." During the trial, which included four hearings and numerous witnesses, three key events were addressed.
The sentence, issued by the Court of Mercedes, included a suspended sentence and the obligation to make a donation as part of it. The reading of the verdict was emotional, and the artist's family and friends applauded upon learning the decision. Some witnesses complicated L-Gante's situation by recounting episodes of threats and tensions.
After the ruling, L-Gante must comply with the conditions imposed by the court. At the end of the hearing, he approached Judge Ignacio Racca to exchange a few words, thus closing the moment. L-Gante had declared himself innocent before the ruling and harshly questioned those who reported him, arguing that the dispute had been motivated by economic interests.
