Catering firm owner charged with fraud

Buenos Aires, December 10 (NA) -- Mauricio Morales, the owner of the catering firm accused of alleged frauds with graduation dinners and other events, was charged this Wednesday, 10, under the charge of 'generic fraud', in Mendoza. Official sources informed the Argentine News Agency that the charge fell on one of the 24 cases opened after the complaints received in recent weeks, as indicated by prosecutor Susana Muscianisi, of the Fiscal Unit for Economic and Computer Crimes. Morales was detained and transferred to the Provincial Penitentiary, since six of them correspond to different graduation parties that would have left around 100 victims each, in addition, the remaining charges will be defined progressively according to the analysis of the evidence. An important number of families had previously recounted how the contracted celebrations never materialized or were developed with serious breaches, despite having paid for full services that included hall, catering and animation. In some cases, the students arrived at the events and found incomplete setups, absent suppliers, in addition to an organization that did not match what was previously agreed. Finally, a good part of the victims managed to have their graduation parties with the help of the community, parents and teachers who rescheduled the closing, hired alternative services and guaranteed that the students would have their long-awaited night.
