The Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo, participated in the Investment and Business Forum in Mendoza, where he spoke about the agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which will be sent by decree. Caputo described it as a fundamental step to exit the currency clamp and assured that it will not imply an increase in gross debt. He stated that there will be no jump in the value of the dollar or a devaluation, describing the funds as "fresh funds."
In his statements, Caputo reassured those present, stating that the process of disinflation will deepen, normalizing the economy and the currency flow. He highlighted macroeconomic stability and predicted a continuation in the decrease of inflation and interest rates, with a greater demand for pesos. He emphasized that the Government will not change the economic course, thus fulfilling the mandate of the population.
Caputo reiterated that there will be no sharp changes in the exchange rate and that the current predictability provides security. In this regard, he emphasized: "Nothing is going to happen with the exchange rate. The Fund has never asked for it. Today there is predictability." The minister's position was clear regarding the continuity and stability of the implemented economic measures.
