
The governor of Mendoza, Alfredo Cornejo, met with the authorities of the IAF consortium, the main partner of Arc Energy, which recently acquired IMPSA. The transfer of shares took place with the participation of representatives from the National and Provincial Government. In the meeting, the President of the Board of IMPSA, Jorge Salcedo, and the Vice President, Juan Manuel DomÃnguez, were present, along with other executives of the company. Also participating were the head of the Secretariat of State Companies and Societies of the National Government, Diego Chaher, and the Mendoza ministers of Energy and Environment and Production.
Cornejo expressed his satisfaction with the presented planning and highlighted the commitment to the company's workers. He emphasized IMPSA's goal of regaining its international prestige and stressed that, despite having new American capital, it remains a Mendoza company.
The president of IMPSA stated that the company will focus on developing local talent and that the business plan reflects the mutual interest of the provincial government and the new owners. It is projected to bring technology and knowledge to the U.S. market, enhancing the port crane business.
In the conference, the importance of a favorable economic environment for the company's growth was highlighted, with the need to consolidate new contracts and complete ongoing operations. The new owners underscored their commitment to IMPSA staff and their intention to provide better tools and technology. They emphasized the importance of ensuring a responsible transition focused on the development of the company.
Governor Cornejo emphasized the need for IMPSA to regain its autonomy and competitiveness in the international market. He thanked the national and provincial governments for their support in the acquisition process. It was noted that the change in political orientation in the national administration was fundamental for the privatization of the company, with the goal of allowing its development and fulfillment of strategic contracts.
