Marcos Paz continues road expansion and canal piping works

The Marcos Paz municipality reported that work continues on the expansion and repaving of Provincial Route 40, on the section connecting the city with other districts in the region, and on the piping of the Rivadavia Sur Canal, at the level crossing on Feijoo Street. In parallel, the canal piping aims to reduce flooding risks on days of heavy rain and to recover sidewalks and urban fronts that historically coexisted with open ditches. The municipality emphasizes that the financing is coordinated with the Province of Buenos Aires and that the work is carried out in stages to minimize the impact on traffic. According to the administration headed by Ricardo Curutchet, these are infrastructure works that will "mark a before and after" in terms of connectivity and storm drainage. According to information from the Argentine News Agency, the work on Route 40 includes road widening, a new asphalt surface, and the placement of storm drains, with the objective of improving circulation and road safety on a corridor where, according to official estimates, the majority of daily traffic linking Marcos Paz with the Capital and the interior of Buenos Aires province passes. They also ask residents to respect signage and temporary detours while the works are underway, and they emphasize that the intervention will leave a trace "safer, more orderly, and prepared" for the productive growth of the area.
