A nursing home in Mar del Plata, where a nurse brutally beat a retiree who refused to take his medication, has been closed. The decision was made by Prosecutor Carolina CastaƱeda after an inspection revealed a series of irregularities in the facility's operations. The case came to light days ago when, according to Argentine News Agency, relatives of Hector Salas filed a complaint with the Justice Department, stating that the man had facial injuries and a wrist fracture after being assaulted by a nurse at the Posada Punta Mogotes nursing home. In addition to the injuries he suffered, a video of the attack went viral, causing public outrage. The prosecutor took over the case and, as a first step, ordered the 89-year-old victim to be removed from the establishment and for an on-site inspection to be conducted. The inspection confirmed various irregularities, which led to the closure of the nursing home.
