A 39-year-old man was arrested in Mar del Plata for having abused and assaulted two young women with disabilities, one 25 years old and the other 19. The incident took place last Wednesday afternoon. Initially, the man groped one of them and later attacked the 19-year-old who tried to protect the other victim, both of whom have developmental delays.
According to local sources, the aggressor kissed the first victim on the cheek and touched her breasts over her clothing. Another woman who witnessed this action tried to intervene to help the victim, but the aggressor attempted to hit her. Finally, the man was detained by the officers participating in the Sol a Sol Operation. It was reported that both victims were being assisted by an adult woman, the mother of one of the assaulted victims.
Prosecutor Guillermo Nicora intervened in the case and drafted notifications for "simple sexual abuse" and "minor injuries" against the aggressor. He also ordered that the defendant be transferred to Penal Unit No. 44 of Batán to continue with the legal proceedings.
