Autopsy Reveals Natural Causes of Death in Mar del Plata

The autopsy performed on the 76-year-old retiree who passed away four months ago and whose body was recently discovered by her nephew in Mar del Plata revealed that she had no wounds or fractures.

Maria Cristina Marsili's nephew found her lifeless in her home, in an advanced state of decomposition, after losing contact with her for several months. Despite the absence of signs of disorder or reports of missing objects, prosecutor Maria Florencia Salas requested to follow the protocol for a possible crime.

During the autopsy, forensic experts noted that the body was already in the process of mummification and lacked preserved organs; however, there were no injuries that could indicate third-party intervention, thus concluding that it was a natural death. Although they could not precisely determine the date of death, it is estimated to have occurred at least four months ago.

Due to a lack of evidence of a crime, the case initially opened to determine the causes of Marsili's death will be archived. The discovery of the retiree's body happened when her nephew, unable to contact her, decided to travel to the seaside city.
