In Mar del Plata, on December 2 (NA), a worker died this afternoon after falling into an elevator shaft in a building under construction located in the Chauvin neighborhood of this city, as confirmed by local police. Meanwhile, prosecutor Germán Vera Tapia, who is in charge of Functional Instruction Unit (UFI) No. 11, ordered the two supervising architects, aged 33 and 35, to be charged in connection with a possible case of negligent homicide. According to information from the Noticias Argentinas agency, the incident occurred in a tower located at Hipólito Yrigoyen 4400, between Larrea and Azcuénaga, in the San José neighborhood. While the causes are being investigated, a 38-year-old man fell into the elevator shaft and died on the spot. Local SAME personnel arrived at the scene and confirmed the man's death, while firefighters rescued the body and the Scientific Police began initial investigations to clarify his tragic demise.
