The new version of 'The Dinner of Fools' premieres in Mar del Plata

"The Dinner for Fools" completed its cast with the addition of Guillermo Arengo, Esteban Prol, and Franco Battista. The plot revolves around a group of friends who organize weekly dinners, each bringing as a guest someone they consider a "fool" to make fun of. Through bitter humor, the play exposes human selfishness and questions who is really the "fool."

The premise of the play, which had a successful film version in 1999 and then a theatrical version in Argentina in 2000 with Adrián Suar and Guillermo Francella, will be staged again in 2025. This time, actors Martin Bossi, Mike Amigorena, and Laurita Fernández will star in this comedy directed by Marcos Carnevale and produced by a team comprised of well-known names from the Argentine entertainment industry.

The plot focuses on the plans of Pablo Barrantes, one of the friends, which are disrupted when he invites Francisco Pignon, an innocent but charming man. Pignon's presence will trigger a series of hilarious and unfortunate situations that will transform the lives of everyone involved in the dinner.
