Militant of Milei's Party Involved in Drunk Driving Accident

Mar de Ajó, January 8, 2026 – María Eugenia Rolón, a militant and influencer for La Libertad Avanza and the partner of Iñaki Gutiérrez—responsible for President Javier Milei's TikTok account—was involved in a serious traffic accident this morning in the coastal city of Mar de Ajó after driving under the influence of alcohol and colliding with a light pole.

The incident occurred just before 10 a.m. on Rivadavia Avenue at number 400, as part of the 'Solde' operation deployed by the authorities of the Buenos Aires province. The 23-year-old Rolón was performing dangerous maneuvers in a Honda Fit, lost control of the vehicle, and crashed into a post. Police officers detained the young woman and conducted an alcohol breath test, which showed a result of 1.89 g/l of alcohol in the blood, far above the legal limit, as a zero-tolerance policy for drivers is in effect in the Buenos Aires territory.

In response to the situation, authorities proceeded to immediately seize the vehicle and the driver's license. After the car was impounded, Iñaki Gutiérrez went to the police station to retrieve his partner, presenting a blue card that authorizes him to drive the vehicle, although he was not present at the time of the crash. The Honda Fit, which according to various sources belongs to Gutiérrez's father, was retained as part of the case now being handled by the La Costa Court of Misdemeanors.

Rolón is known for her active participation in social media and her political closeness to President Javier Milei's inner circle. The digital communicator duo works on the government's communication strategy, especially among young audiences. Additionally, she was a candidate for constitutional convention in the Santa Fe province in 2025, where she received considerable support in her hometown.

The accident generated rejection among neighbors and road safety specialists, who emphasize the risks of driving with high levels of alcohol in the blood, especially in urban areas with heavy pedestrian and tourist traffic.
