Young Woman Detained for Smuggling Drugs to Partner in Jail

A 20-year-old woman was arrested at the El Manantial Police Station after attempting to bring food to her partner, who is under arrest for aggravated robbery. The incident took place on Friday around 10:00 PM when the young woman presented herself at the police station to deliver food to the detainee.

The officer who attended to her led her to the dining area, and upon inspecting the food she brought, discovered that between the lids of two tortillas were pills and a bill with crushed white powder. In light of this situation, the young woman was arrested, and UFINAR Lules was immediately informed, as indicated by Deputy Commissioner Gabriel Funes.

"For this reason, the female was detained and immediate intervention was given to UFINAR Lules," detailed the deputy commissioner. After the discovery of the anxiolytics, the young woman began to cause disturbances, which led to reporting the incident to the corresponding Prosecutor's Office, being implicated in the case for Violation of the Drug Law and adherence to the Narcomenudeo Law.
