Similar incidents have been reported on Route 9, where smoke from brick kilns has caused situations of zero visibility and multiple collisions. On this occasion, the roadway heading to San Andrés de Giles is closed, and drivers are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.

Ten cars, three motorcycles, and two trucks were involved in the collision, leaving at least eight people injured. Emergency services from the Provincial Police, Road Safety personnel, and volunteer firefighters from Luján worked at the accident site. The injured were urgently transported to the local hospital and continue to receive assistance.
