In the Buenos Aires locality of Lomas del Mirador, a motorcyclist identified as Javier Krysko lost his life after being hit by the truck of the owner of a diaper store's son-in-law. The fatal incident took place after the man chased and killed one of the two motorcycle thieves who had robbed his family’s business while Krysko was present at the scene.
The tragic event unfolded on Wednesday, March 6, when the son-in-law, Abel Leite, was heading to the store after noticing a robbery at his father-in-law's, Hugo Galer, carried out by the armed criminals. After colliding with the robbers, they fled on foot, at which point Leite began to pursue them in his truck. Upon reaching one of the thieves at an intersection, the robber took Krysko's motorcycle and, while attempting to escape, Leite ran over both the motorcyclist and the thief, causing the tragedy.
As a result, one of the criminals died at the scene, while Krysko suffered severe injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. The accomplice managed to escape, abandoning the motorcycle they were riding. The prosecutor in charge of the case classified it as aggravated robbery, homicide, and injuries, but determined that Leite acted in legitimate defense, keeping his legal situation stable.
