Brutal Femicide in Lomas de Zamora: A 26-Year-Old Arrested

A 26-year-old man was arrested in the Buenos Aires locality of Lomas de Zamora after having murdered a 25-year-old young woman in the bathroom of a short-stay hotel. The tragic event occurred at the 'Satélite', located at Cosquín street 1828, when the staff alerted the police about the suspicious behavior of the man who was with the victim in room 17.

Upon arriving at the establishment, authorities discovered the victim with cutting wounds to her neck and no vital signs in the bathroom. According to the hotel manager, the couple had checked in at 2:30 PM, but at 5:30 PM the man requested to leave to go to his car, which wasn't on the premises. When the staff refused, the individual fled by jumping over a side gate.

After reviewing the hotel’s security cameras, the police identified the assailant with the woman. The SUBE card of the victim found at the scene provided clues about her identity. The collected evidence suggested that the fugitive was hiding in the Lomas de Zamora Centro area, leading to the implementation of an undercover surveillance operation that resulted in his capture on the streets Lucena Pereyra and Estrada in LZ for the crime of femicide.

The Unit of Instruction Number 17 of Lomas de Zamora is in charge of the investigation.
