New Holiday in Lobería for January 2025

The Argentine government announced the holidays and non-working days for the year 2025. Some key dates include the Day of the Race, National Sovereignty Day, and Christmas, among others. One of the new features is that overtime for employees on holidays or weekends is eliminated.

The long weekends for the upcoming year are already set. Carnival, Day of Memory, Day of Veterans of Malvinas, Labor Day, and other holidays will offer the chance to enjoy longer tourist getaways. Additionally, an extra holiday has been declared for the last week of January, benefiting certain workers in the province of Buenos Aires.

In this regard, Friday, January 31, will be a holiday in the Buenos Aires locality of Lobería to celebrate its founding anniversary, thus allowing for a three-day long weekend to plan tourist activities. On the other hand, the national holiday calendar highlights important days such as Independence Day and the Passage to Immortality of General Manuel Belgrano.

Carnival, one of the most anticipated holidays, will be celebrated in March 2025, providing an ideal period to enjoy a mini vacation. However, February will not have any national holidays or non-working days, so we will have to wait until March for rest days or long weekends at the national level. The first long weekend will be from March 1 to 4 due to Carnival.
