Lanús Triumphs 2-0 Against Sarmiento in the Apertura

The Lanús team achieved an important victory of 2-0 over Sarmiento de Junín in the third round of the Apertura Tournament of the Professional League. The match took place at the Estadio Ciudad de Lanús, known as La Fortaleza. With this result, the team led by Marcelo Pellegrino secured their first win of the championship, leaving behind a difficult start with two previous losses.

The start of the match saw Lanús quickly take control with an early goal from Marcelino Moreno just five minutes into the game. Subsequently, the team extended their lead at 23 minutes with a header goal from Eduardo "Toto" Salvio following a set-piece play. Despite not playing exceptionally well, Lanús demonstrated their superiority in individual quality and budget, securing the victory within the first 23 minutes.

On their part, Sarmiento showed few tools to turn the score around. Although they attempted a slight reaction in the second half of the match, they failed to trouble the home team. With this result, Lanús added their first three points in the tournament and positioned themselves in eighth place in Zone B, while Sarmiento continued to struggle under the direction of Javier Sanguinetti, with no victories so far and only one point obtained in a previous goalless draw against Godoy Cruz.
