Buenos Aires, Dec 21 (NA) -- Estudiantes de La Plata midfielder Santiago Ascacíbar admitted that once the season is over, he will begin to analyze the next steps in his career after conquering a new title with the La Plata team. On Saturday afternoon in San Nicolás, 'Pincha' defeated Platense 2-1 and was crowned champion of the 2025 Champions Trophy, adding another star after having won the Clausura Tournament. With the end of the competitive year and while uncertainty persists regarding the continuity of Eduardo Domínguez, versions about the future of the captain and one of the team's main figures have also resurfaced. After the consecration, Ascacíbar explained that he decided to isolate himself from any negotiation during the definition of the titles: 'The head was always here, in the two finals. Later he will decide where he wants to go, if he leaves.'
