Buenos Aires, December 8 (NA) -- A fan of Gimnasia, whose identity is still unknown, fell from the Centenario stand during the pre-game of the match played this afternoon, the semifinal of the Clausura Tournament, between the 'Lobo' and Estudiantes. According to what the Argentine News Agency learned, the individual suffered fractures in his upper limbs and a serious Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). From the San Martín Hospital in La Plata, which has not yet issued a medical report, it was confirmed that the patient was conscious upon entering the emergency room. In a situation that has not yet been officially clarified, a Gimnasia sympathizer lost his balance on the wooden Centenario stand, which is currently covered in cement, and fell directly onto the homonymous street located behind the stand, from a great height. With immediate mobilizations of state emergency services, the fan was assisted and taken to the hospital by ambulance, managing to enter the emergency room without losing consciousness. The man was admitted to undergo the first examination, in which fractures in his upper limbs and a serious Traumatic Brain Injury were found. For the moment, the official medical report has not been released, nor the procedures that the medical staff will carry out, while the authorities are investigating the circumstances in which the fall occurred of the male whose identity has not yet been revealed. According to statements from other fans who were in the stand when the incident occurred, the individual was holding a flag and had a 'lapse' that made him descend the steps to the sidewalk of Avenida Centenario.
