Buenos Aires, December 5 (NA) – Gimnasia y Esgrima will receive Estudiantes next Monday in a new edition of the La Plata classic. The match, valid for the semifinal of the Clausura Tournament of the Professional League, will be secured by a major operation coordinated by the Ministry of Security of the Province of Buenos Aires through the Agency for the Prevention of Violence in Sport (Aprevide). According to the Argentine News Agency, the security operation will involve 650 officers from the Buenos Aires Provincial Police, 65 private security agents, 135 UTEDYC workers, medical services with four high-complexity ambulances, firefighters and permanent logistical support. The gates will open at 13:00, four hours before the start of the match, at full capacity and without the sale of general tickets. In case of emergency, gates 38 and 39 will also be enabled. The Juan Carmelo Zerillo stadium will host the La Plata classic for the Clausura Tournament semifinal. Once maximum capacity is reached, entry will be restricted to prevent overcrowding or security risks. The public will enter through gates 5, 14, 21, 22 and 23, while the accredited press will enter through 23 bis. Authorities have asked fans to arrive early, avoid crowds, and respect mandatory controls to ensure a safe sporting event. There will be strict checks of tickets, membership cards and ID, and the right of admission will be applied using electronic devices. Additionally, the stadium will have security camera monitoring both inside and outside the premises, police escort for the visiting delegation, and video surveillance of access points and fan movements. From early hours, there will be traffic cuts and security corridors in coordination with Urban Control, the municipal Secretariat of Security and the COM Monitoring Center. Surveillance will be reinforced at the city's access points, the La Plata center, Avenues 7 and 50, the forest and the headquarters of both clubs. The stadium will be guarded from the previous night as a preventive measure.
