La Plata, April 9 (NA) -- A 25-year-old woman was arrested in this city, accused of 'fraud, forgery of seals, illegal practice of law and usurpation of title,' following a complaint by a victim. The young woman, identified as Noelia Rajoy, posed as an employee of the Buenos Aires provincial judiciary and possessed a degree—allegedly issued by the National University of La Plata (UNLP)—to carry out various crimes related to that activity. According to the Argentine News Agency, the investigation began in the middle of last year when Rajoy was reported by B.B., who accused her of deceptively organizing a call for applications, offering positions in the provincial judiciary, as well as having organized a false examination for admission to the Buenos Aires Judiciary, presenting herself as a judicial employee and lawyer. Consequently, the Public Prosecutor's Office (MPF) ordered the carrying out of investigative tasks and in September 2025, various materials of interest to the case were seized at the home of the accused, located in Olmos, in addition to having verified that the accused did not appear in the official register of UNLP graduates, which is available on the internet. It was also established that the woman had created a false email, whose logo corresponded to AFIP, and through it sent different demands for alleged debts to A. M. H. (56), the father of her boyfriend, who had received a bonus upon retiring, and taking advantage of and pretending to be a lawyer, she was requesting several sums of money to cancel different demands, amounting to a total of 31 million pesos. The case is in charge of the UFI Number 11, headed by prosecutor Álvaro Garganta, with the intervention of the Guarantee Court Number 1 of La Plata, of Guillermo Atencio.
