Buenos Aires, February 24 (NA) -- Julio Cornelio Guerra Torres, the driver detained for running over, killing, and abandoning Eugenia Carril in La Plata, has been transferred to the Olmos prison. Fernando Padovan, the prosecutor in charge of the investigation, has ordered new expert examinations. According to information provided to the Argentine News Agency, the head of the UFI No. 12 ordered the performance of traffic accidentology studies, which include plankton studies on water samples, botanical analysis of the vegetation at the discovery site, and toxicological examinations of the accused's urine and the victim's material. The studies will be carried out on March 2 and 3 by officers of the La Plata Scientific Police. Likewise, this Monday morning, Guerra Torres was transferred to the Roberto Pettinato Mayor's Office in Olmos, where he will remain lodged while the investigation progresses. The victim's family is represented by lawyer Fabián Musto. The case also incorporated a video of the moments before the event, which clearly shows the victim walking on the street, not invading the sidewalk where the vehicles were circulating. This recording would complicate the procedural situation of the accused, who will remain detained while the prosecutor works on the request for preventive detention. March and demand for justice Family, friends, and neighbors of Carril called for a march for this Tuesday, February 24, at 6 PM in La Plata's Plaza San Martín, with the objective of demanding justice for the young student who died after being run over and abandoned in Villa Elvira. The gathering will have Plaza San Martín as its central point and it was planned to go to the Ninth Police Station, but this could be modified since the accused has already been transferred to Olmos. The march will be under the slogan 'We March for Euge' and attendees were invited to bring posters, candles, and photos of the young woman.
