On Sunday, February 1, the body of a woman was found in the city of Melchor Romero, located in the La Plata district. The deceased was identified as Samanta Álvarez. According to sources involved in the investigation, the body was discovered in her home on 178 Street between 529 and 530. The woman was found lying on her bed.
Officers from the Patrol Command, police from the 14th precinct of Romero, and SAME medical personnel worked at the scene to confirm the death. The case is currently under the jurisdiction of Prosecutor's Office No. 17 of La Plata, headed by Eugenia Di Lorenzo.
A police spokesperson stated that there were no signs of forced entry into the house and nothing of value was missing. Authorities are awaiting the results of the autopsy to determine the exact cause of death and whether there were injuries consistent with the involvement of another person.
