Prosecutor Gonzalo Petit Bosnic formalized the request for preventive detention for those involved in two episodes of extreme violence that occurred on March 25 in La Plata. The case investigates attempted aggravated homicide and damages caused by a group linked to a labor union. The conversion to preventive detention was requested for ten people accused of attempting to murder the victims with firearms and causing aggravated damages.
The offenses include attempted aggravated homicide and aggravated damage due to the premeditated participation of two or more people. The accused include Iván Tobar, Nehuén García, Santiago Tobar, Emiliano Nicolás D’Amico, Braian Gabriel Gamarra, Rodrigo Tobar, Franco Gamarra, Ybarra Víctor Alexis, and Luis Emmanuel Nievas. Additionally, an expansion of the request for preventive detention for Santiago Tobar was requested due to new facts.
The first incident occurred at noon when Fernando Sacconi was intentionally rammed by several attackers on motorcycles and vehicles. He was beaten, stabbed, and robbed at the intersection of 36th and 19th streets. Subsequently, the victims were brutally attacked in the hospital lobby, suffering multiple injuries and property damage in the building.
Judicial officials indicated that there is sufficient evidence to establish the participation of the defendants, such as testimonies, film records, medical and police reports. The victims suffered serious injuries, including cuts, punctures, contusions, and firearm wounds. The rapid police response prevented a fatal outcome.
A group of approximately 50 men, allegedly instigated by a political-union leader, stormed the hospital intending to kill four associates of the first victim. Following these violent episodes, multiple presentations by defense attorneys are expected to appeal the charges filed by the prosecution.
