Today the tragic death of a motorcyclist who was involved in a traffic accident yesterday at Diagonal 78 and 4 was reported. The victim, identified as Carlos Raúl Funes, 41 years old, was riding a green Kawasaki Ninja 600 motorcycle with license plate 246-ATL at the time of the incident.
According to preliminary investigations, Funes was injured in the collision involving his motorcycle and a white Nissan KCKS vehicle with license plate AG960ZQ. After the crash, the motorcyclist was transported to San Martín Hospital, where he was initially lucid and conscious. However, unfortunately, his death was confirmed today.
Medical sources revealed that Carlos Raúl Funes suffered severe abdominal trauma as a result of the accident. Authorities are investigating the case as a wrongful homicide. The driver of the Nissan, identified as María de las Mercedes Angeleri, 49 years old, has been charged in the case. The 14th Prosecutor's Office of La Plata and the 6th Guarantee Court are responsible for conducting the relevant investigation.
