Motorcyclist Dies After Collision with Another Motorcycle in La Plata

In La Plata, in the Abasto area, during the early morning hours of Thursday, January 1st, a motorcyclist died after a collision with another motorcycle. The causes of the accident are still under investigation. According to police sources reported to the Noticias Argentinas Agency, the incident occurred at the intersection of Avenue 520 and Street 209. The crash involved a Zanella ZB 150 cc motorcycle, driven by 28-year-old Micaela Andrea Lemos, and a Motomel Blitz, which was being ridden by a man who died at the scene from the impact. Initially, the victim had not been identified, but hours later, following an update to the official report, it was confirmed that it was Braian Emanuel González, 28, Argentine, single and unemployed. The case was filed as “culpable homicide” and is under the jurisdiction of the UFI and Court No. 10 of the La Plata Judicial Department, which ordered several tests to determine the responsibilities in the incident. The driver of the Zanella was taken to Romero Hospital, where she received treatment for multiple polytrauma, although it was reported that she is out of danger. Both vehicles were seized for testing, and the area of the incident was preserved by the police. The identification was possible thanks to the ID provided by his brother, Alan Joel González, 23. An ambulance from UPA Los Hornos arrived at the scene, whose doctor confirmed the death of the motorcyclist.
