A serious accident caused chaos at the start of the long weekend. The incident occurred in the early morning hours, and according to Noticias Argentinas (NA) agency, officers from the El Peligro detachment responded to the scene after a 911 call alerted them to a vehicle overturned on the highway.
Two young men, aged 16 and 19, were injured in a brutal crash and rollover on Route 2, at kilometer 44, heading towards Mar del Plata. They were accompanied by Esmeralda Soliz Paci, 16, and Fabiana Tapia Rueda, 19, who were also complaining of ailments.
La Plata's Prosecutor's Office No. 14 for negligent crimes, led by Ana Scarpino, is handling the case, filed as "Negligent Injuries," while experts work to determine the causes of the rollover.
Upon arrival, they found a overturned Renault Kangoo van (license plate GKV 967) with its three occupants in a state of shock. The young men were taken to the Alejandro Korn Hospital in Melchor Romero, and doctors confirmed that both are conscious and out of danger.
