The investigation continues to determine the causes of the crash and surveillance cameras are being reviewed. A tragic traffic accident left a 53-year-old man dead, identified as Néstor Raúl Barrenechea, an officer of the Buenos Aires Penitentiary Service (SPB), who was on a motorcycle at the time of the incident. The case occurred at the intersection of 31 and 522, where—for reasons still under investigation—a Rouser 250 and a Chevrolet Meriva, driven by 43-year-old Celestina Acuña Cáceres, collided. According to police sources, when officers from the Patrol Command arrived at the scene, they determined that Barrenechea had an open fracture, as well as vehicle plastics embedded in his chest, with minimal vital signs. An ambulance from the Hospital de Gonnet, under the charge of David Guerrero, urgently transported him to the health center, where his death was confirmed minutes after admission.
