With the death, Eloy Montenegro was charged with negligent homicide. A 33-year-old woman who had suffered serious injuries in a violent collision between two motorcycles in Abasto died in the last hours, and the case, which was initially filed as negligent injury, is now being investigated as negligent homicide. According to official sources informed to the Argentine News Agency, the accident occurred on streets 523 and 211 when, for reasons that are still being established, a gray Gilera Smash driven by María Belén Cardozo (33), and an unregistered blue Honda CG 150 Titan driven by Eloy Montenegro (20), who was traveling with Antonio Gabriel Silva (20), collided. The three young men were injured and assisted by SAME personnel; they were all transferred to the Alejandro Korn Hospital in Melchor Romero, where Montenegro was discharged, Silva was admitted for observation, and Cardozo had to be urgently operated on for a rib fracture with lung injury. During this Thursday, the hospital confirmed the death of María Belén Cardozo, who did not manage to recover from her injuries.
