The 3.8% increase will impact the values of traffic violation fines for the March-April period in Argentina. The base for calculating fines, represented by fixed units (UFs), has increased from $1,398 to $1,452. These UFs are equivalent to 1 liter of high-octane gasoline, according to the Automobile Club of Argentina. Each violation has a minimum and maximum range of UFs that would be applied.

The updated fines will have the following values: exceeding the maximum speed, driving under the influence of alcohol or prohibited substances, driving against traffic or on the shoulder, driving with a suspended license due to incompetence, among other violations, will have significant economic penalties.

The importance of fines as a deterrent measure to prevent irresponsible behavior behind the wheel that may endanger one's own safety and that of others is emphasized. Exceeding established speed limits is considered a serious offense that can affect the safety of all road users.

In the Province of Buenos Aires, drivers exceeding 140 km/h could face considerable fines ranging from $217,800 to $1,452,000 during the month of March. These penalties aim to ensure road safety and discourage dangerous driving behaviors.

The Buenos Aires government has officially announced the second annual update of fine values, increasing them by 3.8% for the March-April period. Various channels are available for consulting and paying fines, either in person at the Provincial Directorate of Traffic Policy and Road Safety in La Plata or virtually through the Buenos Aires government's infringement website.

Given the seriousness of the violations and their impact on road safety, drivers are urged to respect traffic rules to avoid potential penalties and protect all users of public roads.
