A day of struggle and mobilization was called by various organized movements in the UTEP, the Piquetero Struggle Front, and Territories in Struggle. The call mobilized ANSES offices nationwide and to Plaza de Mayo, demanding an emergency school income of 300 thousand pesos so that families below the poverty line can acquire the necessary school supplies.
In a joint statement, the organizations expressed their concern about the start of classes, as many low-income families do not have the resources to meet the minimum expenses of the school basket. They denounced the lack of food in community kitchens, highlighting the critical situation they are facing.
The General Secretary of the UTEP, Alejandro Gramajo, pointed out the need to make the economic and social crisis caused by the government visible. He emphasized the importance of uniting efforts to address issues such as poverty, frozen wages, the crisis in universities, and the closure of companies leading to job losses.
Gramajo also denounced the presence of drug traffickers in poor neighborhoods, accusing the government of being complicit in this situation. In addition, he expressed outrage over the arranged interview on a television channel promoted by Milei, calling the government a liar and a fraud.
Another point of the protest was the demand for a universal educational bonus to address the educational and social emergency caused by the government's economic policies. Various mobilizations took place in different parts of the country, echoing the call for an increase in the prices of school supplies.
