A tragic incident has shaken the community of Jesús María, in Córdoba, after a 5-year-old boy died this Saturday afternoon after falling into a swimming pool at his home, located in the La Florida neighborhood. According to police information, the boy was at his home and, for reasons still under investigation, managed to reach the pool area in the yard, where he fell and could not get out on his own. The child's mother, according to the Argentine News Agency (NA), had gone out to shop and, upon returning, noticed her son's absence. The boy had been left in his father's care. However, around 17:00, health personnel 'confirmed the child's death.' This event caused deep sorrow in the entire community, as the boy, who had a mild disability, was celebrating his birthday on the same day of the tragic incident, as his parents were preparing the celebration for the afternoon. After starting to search for him, the woman saw his body floating in the water from a window that overlooks the yard. He was immediately rescued, and his parents began to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation exercises. Minutes later, an emergency medical service arrived at the scene and continued the resuscitation maneuvers.
