A new controversy is brewing in Argentina surrounding the 'therian' subculture. A woman from the city of Jesús María in Córdoba province reported that her daughter was bitten by a young man who identified as a therian. According to the mother, the girl was leaving school when she was approached by a group of four people wearing wolf and dog masks. They began to sniff at her and chase her for a bit. At one point, one of them bit her on the ankle. The mother initially thought it was a prank, but later realized it was not. Police sources stated that no official complaint has been filed in the case. Social media platforms like TikTok, X, and Instagram have been flooded in recent months with videos showing people in animal masks, moving on all fours and running through parks imitating the behavior of dogs and cats.
