A woman reported in recent hours that her daughter was bitten by a young 'therian' while they were walking in the central area of Jesús María, a town located about 180 kilometers north of the city of Córdoba, the provincial capital. The unusual episode occurred during a gathering of members of this subculture, in which its followers identify with dogs, cats, foxes, and wolves, among others. They wear masks with the faces of these animals, perceive themselves as such, and even move on all fours. According to Noticias Argentinas agency, the woman was walking in a central plaza in Jesús María when one of the young men approached her 14-year-old daughter and, without a word, bit her on the ankle, causing an injury. Witnesses to the incident observed that the aggressor was in a state known as a 'shift,' during which they adopt a psychological and sensory behavior closer to that of these animals than to a human's.
