The Municipality of Presidente Perón has announced that the new Operations and Monitoring Center (COM) is nearing completion. This modern facility, built over the municipal garages, aims to significantly expand surveillance and security coordination capabilities in Guernica and its neighborhoods.
The new COM will feature a meeting room, a multi-purpose hall (SUM), an archive, a reception area, a kitchenette, and the monitoring center itself, which can accommodate 25 workstations per shift.
According to authorities, only final details related to infrastructure, logistics, and human resources remain. The new complex, replacing the current service located in very limited space at the main municipal entrance, will improve public surveillance and strengthen the connection between residents and security forces, with the goal of preventing crimes and bringing greater peace of mind to the community.
This new building, scheduled for inauguration in 2026, is part of an integral program led by Mayor Blanca Cantero, aimed at improving the current security conditions in Guernica and its surrounding areas.
