President of EMOP Caught Driving Under the Influence

The president of the Provincial Mobility Entity (EMOP), Jorge Teves, tested positive for alcohol during a check while driving an official vehicle. The incident took place during a traffic operation carried out by the municipality of Godoy Cruz, where two inspectors conducted the test on Teves in the early hours of Friday, January 17. The official tested positive with more than 1 gram of alcohol in his blood, which led to his detention by the police, although the official vehicle could not be seized at that moment.

According to reports from Diario Mendoza Today, the case has been referred to the Contraventional Court No. 1, under the jurisdiction of Judge Guillermo Lorca. The news about the result of the breathalyzer test was revealed recently, despite occurring several days earlier.
