The Municipality of Almirante Brown has closed the fruit and vegetable shop 'La Nueva Luna', located at Avenida Hipólito Yrigoyen 21300, and seized the merchandise found at the premises. According to Noticias Argentinas, the establishment lacked municipal licensing, sold products without purchase invoices, and had deficiencies such as missing mandatory fire extinguishers. During the operation, police personnel with the support of the Glew Infantry Detachment were involved due to the hostile attitude of individuals linked to the shop, which required security reinforcement during the closure. 'La Nueva Luna' had already generated controversy in other districts of the conurbation, where the origin and legitimacy of the products offered were questioned, fueling rumors and speculation in the locality of Glew as well.
