Political Confrontation in the Argentine Congress

In a tense debate about 'Clean Slate', Deputy Martín Soria accuses Lorena Villaverde of links to drug trafficking, leading to a heated exchange of accusations.

Political Confrontation in the Argentine Congress

In the midst of the debate over the "Clean Sheet" initiative, the national deputy of Union for the Homeland from Río Negro, Martín Soria, made strong accusations against his colleague from La Libertad Avanza and a native of the same province, Lorena Villaverde, whom he accused of having ties to drug trafficking and labeled her as "falopa".

During the exchange, Villaverde had criticized Soria's sister, María Emilia Soria, current mayor of General Roca, for allegedly benefiting from the situation created by the wildfires in Patagonia. In addition, the legislator denounced that the municipal leader had previously supported Mapuche groups considered "violent" and linked to the National Institute of Indigenous Affairs (INAI).

Soria responded harshly, claiming that Villaverde was involved in drug trafficking cases, recalling that the deputy's ex-husband had a record for drug trafficking. He also added that the legislator was facing criminal complaints for fraud in her locality.

In a tense atmosphere, Villaverde reacted angrily to the allegations and began to protest loudly, which led Soria to derogatorily call her "falopa" due to her behavior. Soria censured the mayor of General Roca for what he considered manipulation of the crisis caused by the wildfires for her own benefit, accusing her of behaving as if in the middle of a political campaign.

During the parliamentary debate, Martín Soria spoke passionately, intensifying the tension in the discussion.
