When leadership fails, everything else falls apart. But by simple deduction, if a municipality has no streetlights, doesn't water the streets, doesn't cut the grass, and the Salado River is completely neglected, turning into a foul-smelling swamp, and if drug consumption levels remain alarming (despite the presence of a community police force involved in city security), what can we expect from the hospital? La Libertad Avanza... just great! That's why we say that General Belgrano is a kingdom of incompetence... The mayor is taking a nap while filth accumulates on the streets, the hospital is just a first-aid room and a referral center, and his official friends are organizing the next 'cultural' pig party on the banks of the Salado. If the municipality charges for a service and doesn't provide it, what is that called... neglect, ineptitude, or fraud on the residents? Tragicomic. In recent weeks, a 'Municipal Transparency Index' was made public, which ranked the party as one of the best in that regard. In last year's session, the ruling party attempted to create political positions in various directorates that were totally superfluous and unnecessary, with huge expenditures that were a true affront to all city residents, and even more so, to the majority of municipal employees who earn salaries below the poverty line. These shortcomings cause a domino effect of autonomy in the various directorates that operate without control and turn a deaf ear to residents' complaints. The provincial Ministry of Health or the relevant authority should carry out an audit or, eventually, an intervention given the deplorable sanitary situation in the municipality. Inability, lack of management, lack of social empathy, and utter chaos in all anarchic municipal areas without any control place the current municipal administration among the worst on record. They should ask themselves why one of their councilors holds a dual position, Director of the Civil Registry and Councilor, when this is prohibited by the provincial constitution (Article 53).
