Opposition Lawmaker Defends Ramiro Marra Amid Controversy

The radical leader of Formosa and national deputy of Democracy For Forever, Fernando Carbajal, expressed his solidarity with Ramiro Marra, who was recently expelled from the La Libertad Avanza party. Carbajal described La Libertad Avanza as a fascist organization led by a single person who makes arbitrary and illegal decisions about who belongs to the group.

In a statement, La Libertad Avanza established that those who do not respect the President's agenda will be expelled, which led the radical deputy to compare this political logic with historical totalitarian regimes. Carbajal differentiated Marra's expulsion from the removal of three deputy members of radicalism, emphasizing that in the latter case the party's internal procedures were followed.

Carbajal warned about the advance towards the formation of a fascist and authoritarian far-right party, intending to undermine the validity of the Constitution and the rule of law. In a message of solidarity published, the deputy recognized Marra's political vocation and coherence, highlighting his ability to perceive political phenomena before others.

Despite ideological differences, Carbajal praised Marra for his political vision and courage in expressing his ideas. He criticized the lack of democratic procedures in Marra's expulsion and warned about the formation of a one-party regime in La Libertad Avanza. In this sense, he expressed his support for Marra for his independent position and his refusal to unconditionally endorse the President's political decisions.
