New Terminal at Formosa Airport

The 'El Pucú' Airport in Formosa has inaugurated a new 2,500 m² terminal as part of its first renovation phase, with a total investment of US$34.2 million. The new infrastructure includes check-in halls, commercial areas, and accessibility features.

Along with this structure, operational buildings, offices, and support spaces have also been put into operation, totaling 2,800 m² completed in this first phase, which required an investment of US$23.1 million. With a total investment of US$34.2 million, Aeropuertos Argentina, together with the National Government through the Regulatory Body of the National Airport System (ORSNA) and the National Secretariat of Transport, reaffirm their commitment to tourism and local and national development, promoting a more integrated air network for all Argentines. Among the new features are a new check-in sector, food and beverage spaces, commercial stores, car rental areas, a new PIR (control point), and a new pre-boarding area covering 550 m².

Additionally, the building's design incorporates accessibility elements such as elevators, escalators, tactile flooring, and adapted restrooms, among other features that allow all users to enjoy the new facilities without access barriers. In parallel, work continues on the second phase, which will require an additional investment of US$11.1 million to complete the total of 4,540 m² of construction, including a new arrivals area, further modifications to the pre-boarding zone, offices for airport authorities, and operational adaptations that will enable this airport to handle international flights and manage up to two simultaneous operations.

Buenos Aires, January 15 (NA) — With a completely new terminal of 2,500 m², the 'El Pucú' Airport in Formosa inaugurates the works completed in this first stage of its comprehensive renovation. The new terminal replaces the previous one, which was 1,060 m² and was completely demolished to build the facility that is now being launched.
