Municipal authorities of Florencio Varela, representatives of the educational sector, and security forces held a meeting to coordinate measures in response to vandalism incidents in the district's schools. According to the Argentine News Agency, the meeting aimed to define a common roadmap to improve prevention, streamline reporting channels, and act more swiftly in response to damage to schools, amidst repeated incidents. The working group analyzed the impact of these attacks on school life: class interruptions, loss of materials, repair costs, and direct effects on students and teachers. The local executive branch emphasized the need to reinforce territorial strategies to anticipate risk situations, especially during non-school hours and on weekends. The discussion also covered coordination with school management teams to improve early warnings and action criteria, with the support of patrols and municipal prevention tools. The Municipality highlighted that caring for schools is not just a matter of infrastructure but a basic condition for upholding the right to education in safe environments.
Authorities agreed to continue monitoring the issue and evaluate new actions based on reports that will be filed in the coming days.
