Buenos Aires, January 16 (NA) – Three people were arrested accused of the murder of Juan Francisco 'El Francés' Viarnes, a man with a past linked to high-profile cases of drug trafficking and police corruption who was found dead with six gunshot wounds in a wasteland in Florencio Varela. The investigation determined that the victim had a debt with the G. brothers, which would have led to a settling of scores. Images captured by municipal cameras show synchronized maneuvers of at least two vehicles, one belonging to the victim and another linked to one of the main suspects. It is being investigated if the remaining brother is a fugitive from the country, they indicated. From the investigation, it was possible to verify a scheme prior to the homicide and a detailed logistical planning. In recent hours, the Buenos Aires Police carried out several raids led by prosecutor Darío Provicionato, from UFI No. 1 decentralized in Florencio Varela, which concluded with three detainees. These operations were coordinated, according to confirmed to the Noticias Argentinas Agency, after the collection of images, expert reports and key testimonies. The main suspicion is that the motive for the homicide is linked to a settling of scores, related to a pre-existing debt and carried out through a coordinated structure. Likewise, from other collected testimonies and intelligence tasks, 'it was established that the victim resided in a rented apartment, where he lived with a young woman' and that, in the hours prior to the event, 'an internal move was made, which aroused suspicions'. With all this information, the Superintendency of Complex Crimes of the Buenos Aires Police carried out urgent raids in the indicated church; in the adjacent house, where one of the involved persons would reside; and in a quinta in the La Capilla neighborhood, where one of the suspects would be hiding. The records show coordinated entries and exits at different points in the city, including an evangelical church located in that locality. These movements were crossed with the analysis of impacts from cellular telephone antennas, which allowed the location of those involved in temporal and geographical coincidence with the death data, reinforcing the hypothesis of a planned execution, they indicated. Regarding the statement, which was considered central to the case, it is about a woman who was under investigation, who stated 'to have direct knowledge of who would have been the authors of the homicide, pointing to two brothers, one of them a pastor of an evangelical church, and a young woman as a necessary participant'. During her testimony she maintained that 'the move of the victim's belongings was carried out after the crime', that 'the weapon used would be in the possession of one of the accused' and that 'the execution would have occurred within the framework of a settling of scores'. All these points confirm that it was a crime in which there was a scheme prior to the homicide and a detailed logistical planning.
